Raptors Facing Division In The Locker Room?
December 8th, 2009 | by SL |
Jay Triano and several Raptors’ players were quick to shoot down any reports of a division between American born players and European players in the locker room. Jose says the Raptors players eat together, go to movies together, and presumably all kinds of other soft-ass stuff.
If there is a division in the locker room, it’s most likely not so much a question of the players’ nationalities as it is their individual deficiencies. Maybe when Antoine Wright was calling out Hedo Turkoglu his teammates’ lack of effort somebody may have shot back: “You played zero minutes against the Hawks, so pipe down”. Or maybe when Chris Bosh was calling out his teammates after the embarrassing loss to Atlanta someone may have replied with: “Chris, you had two points and didn’t even make a field goal… why don’t you YouTube that shit?”
Anyway, the Raps are looking to pick up their third straight win against the T-Wolves tonight and it sounds a lot easier said than done. Kevin Love is back in Minnesota and he’s been solid since returning, averaging over 14 points and 10 rebounds in his first two games. Which Raptors will show up tonight?
If there is a division in the Raptors’ locker room, I’m sure it might sound somewhat similar to this:
“I want to be big and strong this year, so I can be as strong as Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Patrick O’Bryant” – That’s solid gold.
