Death By Kobe

Kobe Bryant is our daddy.  Chris Bosh let Raptor fans feel like victory was possible for a few brief seconds, but Kobe wasn’t havin’ it.

Tracy McGrady Would Appreciate You Booing, So Don’t Give It To Him

My opinion of Tracy McGrady is that he’s a waste of flesh and bone.  Not only did he admit that he quit on his team while in Toronto, but now he’s running his mouth about how there are many reasons why Chris Bosh would want to leave Toronto.  Citing his own experience in Toronto as an example of how difficult it can be north of America, McGrady offered some tasty nuggets of his infinite wisdom to TSN:

Raptors Face Pacers Without Hedo Turkoglu, DeRozan

Hedo Turkoglu is travelling with the Toronto Raptors, but is unlikely to play as he heals from a fractured orbital bone.  Toronto is gunning for their sixth straight win, and second in a row versus Indiana.  Given how poorly Danny Granger shot from the field last game, it’s likely to be a closer affair than their last meeting, albeit with Bosh dominating the paint all over again.

Raps Host Miami Before Schedule Gets Soft

In speaking with some friends about the next 10 games on the Raptors’ schedule, we respectfully concluded that Toronto has a chance to build a comfortable cushion on a playoff spot before heading down the stretch.  The toughest task for the next two weeks will be met tonight when the Raptors host Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat.  After that it’s a nine game span that includes two versus New Jersey, and two games with the Indiana Pacers.

Raptors Midterm Fantasy Report Cards

Unpredictability has ruled throughout most of the first half of the season for the Toronto Raptors as a team.  Bryan Colangelo’s acquisition of Hedo Turkoglu was lauded by many fans and critics for its financial implications, but nobody could have predicted that he’d have been as terrible as he has thus far.  2009-10 was also supposed to be a season that saw a return to form from Jose Calderon; instead he’s been relegated to a sixth man role as a result of poor play and nagging injuries.

Raps Fall To Bucks As Bosh Piles Up Points

There’s no question, the Raptors should have had this one.  Wednesday’s 113-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks played stage to another MVP performance by Chris Bosh, but even a career high 44 points wouldn’t be enough to knock off a mediocre Bucks team.
